What is FamilySafe?
FamilySafe is a UK household record. Every account, document and instruction your family might need, in one secure place, shared only with the people you trust. Start with what is in front of you — utilities, insurance, ID, passwords, wishes — and add to it at your own pace. Useful every ordinary day, ready for the day you hope is far away.
Is my information safe?
Yes. FamilySafe is UK Sovereign-hosted on GDPR-compliant infrastructure, with documents and sensitive fields encrypted before they leave your device. We use zero-knowledge architecture, which means even our team cannot read what is in your record. ISO 27001 certification is in progress. Read more on the Security page.
What can I keep in FamilySafe?
Anything important. Utilities, insurance policies, ID and passport details, property and deeds, financial accounts, pensions, wills, lasting power of attorney details, medical preferences, online accounts, passwords, pet records and care wishes. You decide what to add. You can start with one thing and build from there.
Who can see what I put in?
Only you, and the people you choose. Sharing is role-based, so a partner might see everything, an adviser might see only the financial section, and an executor might see what they need to settle your estate. You can revoke access at any time. Professional partners never see your stored content.
How much does FamilySafe cost?
Free to start, no credit card needed. Premium is £4.99 a month for one person. Family is £8.99 a month for up to six household members. The Probate (one-off) plan is £149 once, with no subscription — useful if your priority is leaving a clean, organised record for executors. Annual billing saves on monthly plans.
Do I have to fill it all in at once?
No. Start with one thing — usually a passport, an insurance policy, or your emergency contacts. FamilySafe suggests what to add next, reminds you of renewals, and shows you what is missing. Most households build their record gradually over weeks and months. There is no scoreboard, just a quieter mind.
